Introduction
The SSN report validates an end user's US Social Security number, name and date of birth combination by matching it to official records held by the Social Security Administration.
Onfido matches provided applicant data directly against the United States Social Security Administration's (SSA) electronic Consent Based Social Security Number Verification (eCBSV) Service database. This allows fast, low friction and accurate validation of Social Security Numbers, providing enhanced protection against fraud and financial crime.
Note: SSN reports are only available in the US region.
